Wild Bird and Wildlife Products
In many areas, the natural habitat of woodlands and wild meadows is slowly being reduced and therefore the idea of providing a refuge for wildlife in our gardens is particularly appealing.
Creating a wildlife haven can provide food, water and shelter for insects, frogs, birds and other animals. In doing so you can encourage natural predators for some of the less welcome visitors, for example song thrush and hedgehogs which eat slugs/snails. You might also attract mason bees and and other pollinating insects to help increase the yields of your fruit and vegetables.
Birds, mammals and other beneficial insects will use plants that flower or produce berries and fruit as a valuable food source. You may wish to supplement these natural food and habitat sources with the provision of
wild bird food and feeders, and shelter boxes to attract specific birds,
bird boxes and tables and other
shelter boxes for wild animals.
